Declaration

class PlanetCoverageMessage;

Description

Message holding a coverage heat map over a celestial body surface. Cells are latitude/longitude bins; Values is row-major (index = latIndex * LongitudeSteps + lonIndex). Values are accumulative dwell time per cell [s] over the simulation. Per-sensor messages store seconds in FOV; body-level and AOI aggregate messages store sensor-seconds (summed across sensors). TotalCoverage is the fraction of cells ever covered (count of non-zero Values / total cells) and does not decrease.

Properties

DeclaredDescription
AreaOfInterestIdArea of Interest Id (empty string for global coverage messages).
BodyNameCelestial body name for a planet-level or body-level AOI aggregate message. Empty on per-sensor messages. Persisted so the coverage system can rebind after save/load.
BestResolutionValuesBest (minimum) resolution achieved per cell [m] (flat, row-major: index = latIndex * LongitudeSteps + lonIndex).For Camera sensors this is GSD; for other RemoteSensors this is FOV ground width.A value of 0 indicates the cell has never been observed.
LatitudeStepsNumber of latitude bands.
LongitudeStepsNumber of longitude bands.
MaxLatitude[deg] Maximum latitude of AOI bounding box. Zero for global messages.
MaxLongitude[deg] Eastern edge of the AOI bounding box, greater than MinLongitude. Values at or above 360 mean the box crosses 0°. Zero for global messages.
MinLatitude[deg] Minimum latitude of AOI bounding box. Zero for global messages.
MinLongitude[deg] Western edge of the AOI bounding box, in [0, 360). Zero for global messages.
TotalCoverageTotal coverage fraction across the planet: (count of cells with Values != 0) / (LatitudeSteps * LongitudeSteps).In sensor output this does not decrease and is derived from the accumulated Values.
ValuesAccumulated dwell time per cell [s] (flat, row-major: index = latIndex * LongitudeSteps + lonIndex).For per-sensor output, each tick adds the simulation step [s] when the cell center is in FOV.For body-level aggregate messages, values are sensor-seconds (summed across all sensors per tick).
