Defines the types of radiation-induced errors that can affect a computer system.
Properties
| Declared | Description |
|---|---|
| None = 0 | No radiation error is currently active. |
| SingleEventUpset = 1 | Single Event Upset (SEU) - A bit flip in memory or registers.May or may not cause visible system effects depending on affected location. |
| SingleEventLatchup = 2 | Single Event Latchup (SEL) - A high-current state caused by radiation.Requires power cycle to recover and may cause permanent damage if not addressed. |
| SingleEventFunctionalInterrupt = 3 | Single Event Functional Interrupt (SEFI) - A disruption to normal operation.Requires system reboot to recover but does not cause permanent damage. |
| SafeMode = 4 | Safe mode triggered due to accumulated Total Ionizing Dose (TID).System is operational but in a reduced capability state. |
| PermanentFailure = 5 | Permanent failure due to accumulated Total Ionizing Dose (TID).System is non-recoverable and must be replaced. |
