Declaration

class ShortToGroundErrorModel;

Description

The Short To Ground Error Model can be added to any physical component on an entity, and is used as a part of the power system. It simulates a one-off short-circuit fault from the component’s input terminal to ground. The fault triggers at a random time drawn from a Gaussian distribution, or can be manually triggered. When active, a low-resistance path to ground is injected into the SPICE circuit (on a PowerBus) or applied as a parallel resistance in SelfSolve mode.

Properties

DeclaredDescription
IsTriggeredWhether the short-to-ground fault is currently active.
ShortResistanceThe fault resistance of the short-to-ground path [ohm].Defaults to a near-zero value representing a hard short.
TriggerMeanThe mean time before the fault triggers [s].
TriggerStdThe standard deviation of the trigger time [s].
InheritedDescription
IsEnabledIs true if the object is currently enabled.
NameThe display name or tag of this object.
ParentThe currently attached parent object.

Methods

DeclaredDescription
ResetResets the fault, removing the SPICE resistor and rescheduling the random trigger.
TriggerManually triggers the short-to-ground fault immediately.
InheritedDescription
FindParentWithIDReturns an attached parent that satisfies the specified ID.
FindParentWithTypeReturns an attached parent that satisfies the specified type.
FindRootWithIDReturns a root object that satisfies the specified ID.
FindRootWithTypeReturns a root object that satisfies the specified type.
