Description
The GPS constellation is a custom class that initializes a constellation of GPS Spacecraft for the functionality of the GPS sensor. The purpose of it is to streamline the initialization process of the GPS sensor as a GPS constellation is a primary requirement for its functionality.
NOTE
A GPS constellation is not initialized automatically when a GPS Sensor is initialized but could be initialized for custom constellations.
Example Use Cases
- Sensor Platform: The GPS constellation is used in this scenario for the functionality of the GPS sensor.
Module Implementation
The requirement for the implementation of this module is a TLE. A TLE with a list of GPS satellites is loaded in and initialized on the simulation system. For each Satellite a GPS transmitter is initialized.
Assumptions/Limitations
- The constellation is not simulated to the fidelity level of a spacecraft in the simulation due to efficiency
- The constellations assume a zero-clock bias
