Creating Collections

A collection is a named list of spacecraft definitions. Teams operate the spacecraft in their assigned collection.

Creating Main

Open Collections and select the add control.

Set the collection ID to:

Main

Add SC_001 to the collection’s spacecraft list.

The relationship now looks like:

Main → SC_001 → Pathfinder

Understanding collection behavior

A collection can contain one spacecraft or a fleet. A team assigned to that collection receives every listed spacecraft.

Multiple teams can use the same collection definition. Space Range constructs a separate copy of its spacecraft for each team. This is not the same as a single shared spacecraft.

For a spacecraft that should exist once and remain uncontrolled by every team, use a neutral asset in the advanced JSON path.

Avoiding broken references

Check that:

  • the collection ID is not empty
  • the collection ID is unique
  • every spacecraft ID exists under Spacecraft
  • capitalization is consistent
  • no unwanted spacecraft is included

WARNING

A team can exist without receiving a spacecraft when its collection is missing or contains an invalid spacecraft ID. Always verify the full team-to-collection-to-spacecraft chain.

Next, create Blue Team and assign Main.
